One tree, a true survivor, rooted into the canyon floor, reaching for the sun through a gap in the canyon walls. The lines in the canyon are from the water that scours the canyon when it rains. The tree reminds me that it is possible to overcome adversity, and the odds, to survive and thrive.
This photograph was taken in New Mexico, outside of Santa Fe.
