A field of sunflowers delights, and a single sunflower rises up above the crowd to stand out. A wonderful piece of art for that outstanding person or to celebrate a singular, outstanding accomplishment or event.

The common name "sunflower" applies to the popular annual species Helianthus annuus. This is cultivated in temperate regions as food crops and ornamental plants.

While the vibrant, strong sunflower is a recognized worldwide for its beauty, it is also an important source of food. Sunflower oil is a valued and healthy vegetable oil and sunflower seeds are enjoyed as a healthy, tasty snack and nutritious ingredient to many foods.
