It was my first day on the ground in New Mexico and I had spent the afternoon driving to Taos through thunderstorms. Just as I topped the mountain, the skies started to clear and the late afternoon sun slanted golden light across the land.

This tree was highlighted against the dark storm clouds, a golden promise after a stormy day.

Terry Rowe has a lifetime of experience in the arts. She is a creative exploring photography, graphic design, stitchery, jewelry making, and sculpting. One of the original founders of the Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, Virginia, she has been actively involved in the arts for over twenty years. She recently retired, after 41 years of service, as the Art Director, House Creative Services, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives.
