A few of my favorite purple things. A fringed silk scarf, that is soft and warm. A antique purple bottle with bird talons as a decorative detail, the bottle was given to me by my neighbor, Sybil. A favorite stone bead bracelet that has many different shades of purple. A favorite rock collected during a trip to Oak Creek Canyon in Sedona, Arizona. A sea shell from a trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. And an antique diary with a lock and a tooled leather cover. These favorite things remind me of people and places I've loved.
Images and textures have been layered to create a composite art print of a original photograph.

About Terry Rowe
Terry Rowe has a lifetime of experience in the arts. She is a creative exploring photography, graphic design, stitchery, jewelry making, and sculpting. One of the original founders of the Del Ray Artisans in Alexandria, Virginia, she has been actively involved in the arts for over twenty years. She recently retired, after 41 years of service, as the Art Director, House Creative Services, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives. In her photographs, Terry seeks to capture a moment, to give the viewer a glimpse of place and time that arrests the movement of life and allows one to savor what is there to be seen.
