Description
Artwork from the coal pier in Philadelphia. It's located in an empty industrial area, behind construction, and through a field of weeds and trash. As the sun rises light floods through the pillars and touches the paintings left by graffiti artists, taggers, and paint ball enthusiasts. It's a colorful place, but still lonely - and always feels a bit dangerous.
The old coal pier is no longer used. Coal was stored in the silo's and then transported out to the pier via conveyor belt. It's a favored site for graffiti artists, fishermen, and now photographers.
